Finest kinds of lager beer are brewed in Plzen region, Czech. So, most of lager beer is called 'Pilsner type' instead of 'lager' in the northern part of Europe. King Gambrinus may be the first person who introduced hop as a bitter in beer. That is because he is called Saint of Beer. Gambrinus is also a famous brand of Pilsner beer.

Most of Japanese beer is lager type. But tasts thin. We seldom find fine beer in Japan. Kuninoocho is one of the beer we can recommend. It is brewed in a small town in Osaka.
